OK so finally we are excited to announce that the looong awaited Tokyo Witch Hunt album 'Eclectic Electric' has been put out to digital release on 17th December ahead of Christmas.
We are not anticipating that there will be a physical release in CD form just yet, but we will keep you informed if that changes and announce it properly before the release date.
The Album will be available at major digital stores including iTunes for their regular prices.
We can confirm that there are now 13 songs and they will also sell separately for those of you who prefer to buy this way.
There will be a press release shortly announcing a link to our iTunes page and others.
Izzie is also heavily involved in two other collaborative projects in which she features as lyricist and vocalist: a full album with Mark Sheppard of Cambridge based eclectic band, The Offering which will eventually be released on Fierce Kitten Records....and a remix of a chart topping dance track (which we can't yet divulge) handled by All Over It Records who deal with underground House music but it already has interest from quite a big record label (again, sorry but we need to keep this quiet).
So...busy busy busy.. Watch this space!
Waiting waiting for the 17th!!!!

The Pre Christmas TWH Shennanigans
Well, here we go with stuff that is happening or going to happen with Tokyo Witch Hunt over the next few weeks.
Firstly, we are taking a break after the next gig from live gigging to concentrate time into other exciting things.
Not that Crash and I aren't entirely capable of holding the gigging fort between us temporarily until we find a third person to be on stage with us, but we are actively now seeking another backing singer and keyboard player to replace Nina during the Xmas period in time for February when we will be back with some great, fresh shows.
Also during that time we will release the much promised, and now finished TWH album which no longer has a working title but will be released as 'Eclectic Electric'. It has 13 tracks, includes dancey favourites like 'Lightshow', 'Fast Lane', some much more moody new material like 'Hours And Days' and 'The Ground', a disco dancefloor collaboration between Crash and myself in the form of 'Girl Star' and 'Electricity remix' of 'Burn Down'. We are excited now...and once the artwork is finalised, it will go into iTunes and other digital stores.
I have also avidly begun collaborative work in the form of an EP with the highly talented Mark Sheppard of multi genre Cambridge band The Offering. Mark is also currently working on other projects with Robin George (Thin Lizzy) and Angie Brown. This is proving to be seriously exciting stuff and very different really from TWH...and if anybody else mentions The Creatures again I will kick a wall. Awesomely good stuff so watch out !!
Catch you soon.

Polish Club Concert and Other Important News
- How time flies...we had been so looking forward to the long awaited home gig at the Polish Club in Barnsley for weeks and it was SMOKING on Saturday..'the crowd were just awesome'.
Intense fog, lights, lasers, neon and much bopping from the crowd- and yes, Izzie's 190 year old Dickensian top hat made an appearance throughout the second half of the set,and was cautiously, but eagerly bandied around the fans for photographs afterwards.
The appearance was, according to izzie, '..to mark the anniversary of the year of Dickens' birth in 1812'. Charles Dickens lived for a time and died in Rochester, Kent, the historically steeped tiny city where Izzie lived for a time.
There are a lot of photographs to come in from friends and fans from the halloween induced night. The entire gig was filmed by the venue and we're hoping for an official review so there'll be tonnes of stuff for you to see soon. Huge thanks to Nikki Szkliniarz for organising the event, our sound technician who did a superb job, the members and landlord of the Polish Club for welcoming us in, and, once again, a wonderful audience. We have already been invited back, so watch this space.
- Sadly though, we bring you news (although it was no secret) that Nina Sherrard has now left us due to increased workload and difficult shift arrangements. We wish her all the best. We are, of course now searching for someone to take her place to cover backing vocals and incidental keyboards, but we will fulfill existing gigs and continue to arrange new live dates as a two piece in the meanwhile.
- Dealings with the upcoming album are now also back in full swing and we hope to get that to you in time for Christmas.
- We are now in possession of TWH hoodies which are black with white Rhinestone lettering (diamond effect stones) ('Tokyo Witch Hunt' on the front, 'TWH' on the left sleeve and www.tokyowitchhunt.com' on the back. Price is 25.00. If you would like to order one, please get in touch via contact@tokyowitchhunt.com . T shirts will be discussed soon.
Catch you soon,

The Last Gig and The Next
Last friday we played Redhouse in Sheffield for a record label. We had a good slot behind the headliners. No-one told us (even when we were there) that the headliners had pulled out the day before. No-one spoke to us even. We took a few people who waited around for several hours to see us but had to go home on public transport before our slot because the previous bands were running so late. So we played to a diminished crowd with good reception. Ah the trials and tribulations.
NEXT
This coming Saturday, we play the first gig we've played for a long while to a home crowd and we're excited. It's halloween weekend and the venue have it as a goth night. Slightly out of character musically for us but it's looking like it might be a good un! Polish Club, Summer lane, Barnsley- we can't wait!

The TWH Fanmail
Hi Guys,
Just a quickie today to let you know we're still here. If things seem quiet your end, you should be at OUR end! We are busy renaming and rebranding everything we have and everywhere we have a presence. It's taking time because we are everywhere!
No fear though, we have gigs- and will appear at Redhouse on October 19th in Sheffield and then our first hometown gig in Barnsley at Polish Club on 27th welcomes us, and our new name, with a Foam Party and whacking great halloweenish merriment ! We hope to see loads of you at both events.
The album has been put back (yes we know, AGAIN) to December- but that will make a great stocking filler!
In the meantime, don't forget to visit (and 'Like') our facebook page at www.facebook.com/tokyowitchhunt .
Catch you very soon,

Fighting with lawnmowers
Izzie's had The Chop. Got naffed off with long hair and done the deed.

Bom Bom Bom Bom
So- Bomfest campers and crew night actually went rather well last weekend, despite the horrendous mud problem which meant carting all the gear by hand up the looong, muddy path and negotiating around a very boggy field. It did stop raining in time for our set which was much later than planned because of said weather- Bigsound marquee was suitably festivally decked up, and people came in to dance.
Any techical problems we had have now been ironed out and everything ran like a dream. Good night had by all, though we were all frozen by the time we scurried home, in time for a couple of hours' heads down- ready to go back to enjoy the actual festival on Saturday....in SUN!
Hoping for another slot next year- and huge thanks to BOMFest organisers who (a week on) STILL haven't been able to get the marquees down because of the mud :( Cups of tea in order, probably!
